Thursday, June 4, 2026 Mrs. Samah Daldoul, in charge of managing the municipality of Tunis, welcomed Mr. Badr Wail Al-Ajil Al-Askar, Secretary-General of the Arab Towns Organization, and the accompanying delegation, on the occasion of his visit to the city of Tunis, in the presence of a representative from the Ministry of Interior (General Directorate of External Relations and International Cooperation) and several relevant municipal officials and departments. At the beginning of the meeting, the lady in charge of managing the municipality of Tunis welcomed the esteemed guests, affirming the depth of the historical relations that unite the municipality of Tunis with the Arab Towns Organization and the fruitful cooperation and exchange of experiences and expertise in various areas related to municipal affairs over the past years. The meeting also provided an opportunity to review the prospects for developing joint cooperation and enhancing the partnership between the two sides by intensifying programs for exchanging successful experiences and practices in the fields of local governance, urban development, heritage preservation and valorization, as well as exploring ways to support initiatives and projects that contribute to improving the quality of municipal services and achieving sustainable development for the benefit of citizens. This meeting comes within the framework of the municipality of Tunis’s commitment to opening up to its Arab environment and enhancing cooperation relations with various specialized organizations and bodies, in order to support knowledge exchange and establish best practices in the field of municipal work.
